Expected to export 500 tons of Bac Giang's early U Hong litchi to Europe

Bac Giang province currently has more than 29.7 thousand hectares of lychee. Due to favorable weather, the rate of lychee flowering is high so far, it is forecasted that in 2025 there will be a good harvest and about 500 tons of early U Hong lychee will be exported to the European market.
Implementing the strategy of exporting lychee to the European market and some other markets, since the end of last year, Mova Plus Company has requested the People's Committee of Bac Giang province to direct production and support the promotion of the export of early U Hong lychee in Phuc Hoa commune and lychee in Luc Ngan district in 2025. At the same time, the Company sent staff and households in the growing area and the processing and packaging unit to prepare well the conditions for the export of about 500 tons of early U Hong lychee to the European market this year.
Up to now, the Company is preparing to implement trade promotion activities for lychee in Europe; Work with the Embassy, Counselor, Trade Office of Vietnam in Europe (Germany, France, Belgium, Czech Republic...), distribution channels, sales systems in Europe to prepare for promotion activities, advertising lychee of Bac Giang province in Europe.

At the meeting with the leaders of Bac Giang province on the afternoon of March 6 to discuss the export of U Hong litchi in 2025, Mr. Tran Trong Nguyen, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Mova Plus Company, said that the company has been researching Bac Giang litchi for many years. Thereby, it is found that Bac Giang litchi is of high quality, beautiful in appearance, and favorable for export. On this occasion, the Company requested the People's Committee of Bac Giang province, the Department of Industry and Trade, the Department of Agriculture and Environment to continue to pay attention to and support the guidance of litchi growers who are cooperating with Mova Plus Company to cultivate and produce quality litchi. Coordinate to participate in activities to promote Bac Giang litchi in some European countries (Germany, France, Belgium, etc.); promote litchi in tourist areas. The Provincial People's Committee has sent a document to the Embassy, Counselor, and Trade Office of Vietnam in some countries that are expected to have activities to promote Bac Giang litchi to create more favorable conditions for product promotion; support to reduce the cost of transporting lychee; organize a working group to promote lychee in Europe.
Based on the proposal of Mova Plus Company, Mr. Pham Van Thinh - Vice Chairman of Bac Giang Provincial People's Committee affirmed that lychee is the local key crop, bringing a large source of income to people in the key growing areas of this crop. Therefore, the production and consumption of products are always of interest to the province.
Bac Giang province always creates favorable conditions for businesses to purchase and consume lychee for people. He hopes that businesses will continue to cooperate with farmers to produce and consume lychee; localities will support in controlling compliance with contracts and production processes.
Considering quality as the core factor of the product, the leaders of Bac Giang province requested the Department of Agriculture and Environment to closely coordinate with Mova Plus Company and Tan Yen District People's Committee to do a good job of guiding households in lychee growing areas to ensure quality standards, meet technical requirements and export standards.
Mova Plus Company's partner enterprises focus resources on developing specific production plans to meet the committed export output.
The Department of Industry and Trade presides over and coordinates with relevant units to advise the Provincial People's Committee to develop a trade promotion plan for 2025, focusing on promoting products in famous tourist areas such as Nha Trang, Phu Quoc, etc.; at the same time, advise and propose to the Provincial People's Committee documents to send to the Embassy, Counselor, and Trade Office of Vietnam in some countries with the orientation of expanding exports and developing consumption markets.
In the long term, Mr. Pham Van Thinh suggested that research sectors promote the application of off-season lychee production technology immediately after the end of this year's lychee crop to increase product value.
