15% discount on irradiation treatment fees for fresh fruit exported to the Australian market on the occasion of becoming an official partner of BICON

On the occasion of officially becoming a partner of BICON - an agency under the Australian Department of Agriculture, Fisheries, and Forestry (DAFF), meeting the conditions for irradiation processing of fresh fruit exports to Australia, Toan Phat Irradiation (TPI) offers a 15% discount on irradiation treatment fees for fresh fruit from June 7, 2024, to June 30, 2024.
BICON (Australian Biosecurity Import Conditions) - an agency under the Australian Department of Agriculture, Fisheries, and Forestry (DAFF), has certified Toan Phat Irradiation as a qualified facility in Vietnam for irradiating fresh fruit and issuing irradiation certificates for export to the Australian market.
From June 7, 2024, to June 30, 2024, all orders for irradiating fresh fruit (mangoes and longans) for export to Australia at Toan Phat Irradiation will receive a 15% discount on irradiation treatment fees. Detailed information about the promotional program is as follows:
- 15% discount on irradiation service fees for any single fresh fruit order exported to the Australian market (maximum 30 tons per fruit type) registered for processing from 00:00 on June 7, 2024, to 23:59 on June 30, 2024.
- 100% waiver of goods import/export fees for irradiation goods.
Note:
- The discount will be directly deducted from the irradiation service fee invoice and does not include other service fees.
- Applicable only to fresh fruit processed for irradiation and exported to the Australian market.
- Applicable only once per customer during the program period.
- Output registered for irradiation treatment is accumulated during the day.
- This program cannot be combined with other promotional programs.

Notes on some requirements for exporting longans and mangoes to Australia:
Longans:
Before export, longans must be proven to have been produced, sourced, and exported according to the necessary operational system to maintain and verify phytosanitary status. Longans must also undergo mandatory risk management measures.
To demonstrate compliance with these requirements, the phytosanitary certificate must clearly state the following additional information: The fruit in this shipment was produced in Vietnam in accordance with the import conditions for fresh longans into Australia and complies with the "Vietnam Fresh Fruit Export Program to Australia." The longans have been irradiated at a minimum dose of 400 Gy. Along with this, the processing facility information and registration number; the number of cartons in the shipment. For sea transport, the container number and seal number must be confirmed and recorded on the phytosanitary certificate or commercial documents. If confirmed on the bill of lading, the phytosanitary certificate number must also be clearly stated.
Mangoes:
Fresh mangoes from Vietnam exported to Australia must undergo mandatory irradiation at a minimum dose of 400 Gy at a facility approved by the competent authority in Vietnam. To demonstrate compliance with these requirements, the phytosanitary certificate must clearly state:
- "Irradiation at a minimum 400 Gy"
- The name and number of the irradiation facility
- The date of irradiation
- The number of cartons in the shipment
The container number and seal number (for sea transport) an irradiation certificate specifying the minimum and maximum doses (Dmin and Dmax) must also be included. The original phytosanitary certificate must accompany each shipment and be accurately completed, as detailed on the International Plant Protection Convention (IPPC) website.
