On December 5, 2024, Toan Phat Irradiation Plant (Toan Phat Irradiation Company Limited) was granted a certificate of plant quarantine treatment using X-ray irradiation technology by the Plant Protection Department, Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development. With this certificate, TPI marked an important milestone, a prerequisite for being evaluated by APHIS (USDA) and becoming a pioneer in Vietnam to simultaneously apply two irradiation technologies, Cobalt-60 and X-ray, in the treatment of fresh fruit for export.
