Agricultural prices in Australia are rising, a great opportunity for Vietnam.

To boost exports, the Vietnam Trade Office in Australia hopes that businesses will actively participate in international fairs in Australia and discuss trade opportunities with the Trade Office.
In 2024, Vietnam's fruit and vegetable export turnover to Australia will reach more than 111 million USD, an increase of more than 25.9% over the previous year. Seafood exports will reach over 343 million USD, an increase of more than 9%; coffee will increase by 48.3%; rice will increase by more than 17%; confectionery will increase by more than 23%; rubber will increase by more than 17%...
In addition to key products, the Vietnam Trade Office in Australia also focuses on expanding the market for potential products that are difficult to penetrate in large quantities.
For example, Australia has not yet licensed the import of fresh chicken from Vietnam, but within the framework of the "Vietnam Goods Promotion Week in Western Australia and Queensland in 2024", the Trade Office has coordinated with importer M-import and supermarket chains in Australia to bring 15,000 processed black chicken products to the market.
Currently, Vietnamese agricultural, aquatic and food products are widely available in Australia. The Vietnam Trade Office in Australia is continuing to support businesses to expand new products, typically Ca Mau crab - a product with superior quality compared to Mud crab in Australia, which is expensive but has little roe and is not typical. If processed and packaged according to Australian standards, Ca Mau crab can become a potential export item.
Meanwhile, inflation in Australia remains high, especially since August 2024, food prices have increased sharply and reached a 3-month high, with an increase of 3.3% (compared to 2.7% in December 2024). Fruit prices have increased dramatically by 12.3%. In this situation, the Vietnam Trade Office in Australia recommends that domestic enterprises promote the export of food, agricultural products and fruits from the beginning of 2025 to take advantage of opportunities.
To increase export efficiency, the Trade Office recommends that Vietnamese enterprises actively participate in international fairs in Australia and maintain connections with the Trade Office to update trade opportunities. At the same time, enterprises should send authorized representatives to work directly with Australian partners, avoiding the situation where foreign partners do not receive feedback from Vietnamese enterprises, leading to lost cooperation opportunities.
