Vietfish 2024, organized by the Vietnam Association of Seafood Exporters and Producers (VASEP) at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center (SECC), is considered the largest annual seafood event in Vietnam and Southeast Asia, marking 25 years of development of the country's seafood industry. This year's event has the participation of more than 280 exhibitors and 496 booths from Vietnam and 15 countries.
Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Phung Duc Tien emphasized that Vietfish 2024 will play an important role in connecting seafood exporting enterprises, promoting trade, expanding the domestic market and finding partners. The leader of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development also said that developing the domestic market is an essential direction, aiming to balance supply and demand and reduce dependence on exports.
"This exhibition not only creates opportunities for seafood businesses to promote trade but also affirms the quality and position of Vietnamese seafood in the international market. In 2024, the Vietnamese seafood industry strives to achieve the target of 10 billion USD in export value," Deputy Minister Phung Duc Tien emphasized.
After many years of accompanying the seafood industry, the Vietfish exhibition has become a pioneering event, promoting connection and trade, helping businesses expand their markets and update the latest achievements in the industry.
At the event, many trading activities, contract signings and strategic cooperation in the field of aquaculture and seafood processing took place. This year, the event had the participation of many international seafood suppliers, including the US with its famous Alaska salmon products, along with products from Indonesia, India, Russia, Japan and China.

The theme of the 25th Vietfish exhibition in 2024 is "Seafood export for Vietnamese people", aiming to bring export products to the domestic market, contributing to the growth of the potential F&B industry in Vietnam.
The organizers also said that in order to meet the needs of businesses to participate in displaying and promoting, this year the exhibition has expanded its space from 10,000m² to 14,000m². The exhibition is open from 9am to 5pm daily from 21-23/08/2024 and is expected to attract about 17,000 visitors.
